报告摘要：
This paper examines the impact of catastrophic health spending protection on healthcare utilization of children under 17 years old by exploring a difference-in-difference estimation strategy and regression discontinuity design. Using longitudinal inpatient claim data, we find that the catastrophic spending protection program significantly increases children’s inpatient spending, with price elasticities considerably bigger for children than adults.

彭晓博，中央财经大学经济学院硕士生导师，北京大学经济学博士，中国社会科学院经济研究所博士后，纽约大学访问学者。研究领域主要包括健康经济学、医疗保险、劳动经济学。学术论文发表于《经济研究》、《经济学（季刊）》、《世界经济》、《中国工业经济》、《国际经济评论》、《The European Journal of Health Economics》等国内外期刊。主持国家自然科学基金、教育部基金、北京市自然科学基金等课题。
